About Fauxfu
Hey all! Welcome to Fauxfu! --It's just like tofu, only meatier.-- I know... that sounds pretty corney. I have no idea why
I picked that name for this website but it's kind of stuck, people have it bookmarked and it's been around for awhile so it
has a higher ranking in Google search so I'm keeping it!
So far the site is divided in to 4 main sections: Stream, Blog, Projects and Fauxtos. The stream is an aggregator that pulls together all the things I post around the internet and organizes them all together in chronological order for easy browsing. The Blog is a "somewhat" more structured place for me to write, well, whatever I feel like and post wacky things I find on the Internets. The Projects section is kind of like the blog but is focused on projects that I have worked on or am currently working on. Unlike the blog, the individual projects listed will be updated as progress and hopefully complete them. They're meant to be something between a how-to and a source of inspiration for your own projects. And finally the Fauxtos section is where I post the more interesting photos I take from my day to day life. Enjoy your stay and I hope you'll be back soon! Updated: Aug 9, 2012 About Me
Enough about my site, wouldn't you rather hear about me? What? Really? Well, ok. I'm just a guy / recently turned father who loves working with his hands as much as his mind.
I've lived most of my life in the beautiful land of Seattle (with the exception of living a year in Japan). I spent most of my childhood playing in the forest and
building random things in the garage. In many ways, I'm still that same child, except for the job and financial responsibilities.
I currently work as a studio manager for a camera review site, which means that I get to play with a bunch of new cameras all the time. Unfortunately that means that I don't get as many chances to do my own photography. But as you can see on this site, I try to shoot as much as I can, even if it means with my iPhone. I've actually come to appreciate that little camera. It's not as good or as versitile as my 7D, but I always have it with me to document all the interesting little moments in my life. That's all I really have to say about myself. If you want to know anymore, just look around my site. Updated: Aug 9, 2012 Friends
I know I'm cool and all, but the Internet's not just all about me. Check out what my friends are doing:
